Mobalco Kitchens
Mobalco is one of the kitchen ranges we offer at Intervari Design, alongside our own handmade Intervari kitchens and Vaselli stone kitchens. If you like the precision and clean lines of a manufactured system, but you still want it planned around your room and fitted properly, this is usually the range we talk about first.
We work with homeowners across London and Hertfordshire, and with the architects and interior designers who specify on their behalf. Our showroom and joinery workshop are in the same building in Watford, so you can see the range and meet the people who will do the work on the same visit.

Who a Mobalco kitchen suits
A Mobalco kitchen tends to suit you if:
- You are renovating or extending and want the kitchen planned as part of the whole space.
- You care more about the fit, the finish and how the doors line up than about the lowest price.
- You want a coherent look across the kitchen, utility room and any run of tall cabinets.
- You would rather deal with one company for design, supply and fitting than juggle several.
If you want something entirely one-off, our own Intervari kitchens are made by hand in the Watford workshop. Many projects end up as a mix: a Mobalco kitchen with bespoke joinery around it. We are happy to talk you through both.
What is included
A typical Mobalco project with us covers:
- Design. Plans and drawings of your kitchen, worked up with you and, where relevant, with your architect or interior designer.
- Doors and finishes. We will show you the door styles, colours and materials available in the range, with samples you can take home.
- Worktops. Worktop options to suit the design, including stone. We also supply Vaselli stone kitchens and bathrooms, so stone is something we deal with every day.
- Appliance planning. Space, services and door clearances planned around the appliances you choose, so nothing has to be forced in later.
- Delivery and fitting. Delivery to site and installation by our own fitting team.
Exactly what is in your quotation depends on the project, so we set it out line by line before you commit to anything.
How it works
- Showroom visit or home survey. Come to the showroom in Watford to see the range, or we can visit and measure at your home.
- Design. We draw up a layout and talk through finishes, worktops and appliances until the design is right.
- Order. Once you are happy with the drawings and the quotation, we place the order and agree dates.
- Installation. Our fitting team installs the kitchen. We will tell you in advance how long we expect to be on site and what needs to be clear before we start.
- Aftercare. If something needs adjusting after fitting, you call us directly on 01923 954769 and we come back.
Why choose Intervari for Mobalco
We are an independent kitchen specialist, not part of a chain. That means the person who designs your kitchen is the person you keep speaking to.
We also have our own joinery workshop in Watford, at the same address as the showroom. That matters more than it sounds. If a run of cabinets needs an odd end panel, a boxed-in soil pipe hidden or a matching bench built for the boot room, we can make it rather than tell you it is not possible. And because our own team fits the kitchen, there is no argument about who is responsible for what.
Watford is a short drive from north and west London, so we are close enough to get back to you quickly if you need us.
How we prepare a quote, and what affects the price
We prepare a written quotation after we have seen the space and agreed a layout, either at the showroom or at your home. It is based on your actual drawings rather than a rough guess, so you can see what each part of the kitchen costs.
The things that move the price most are:
- The size of the kitchen and the number of cabinets.
- The door finish you choose.
- The worktop material, especially if it is stone.
- The appliances you specify.
- Any bespoke joinery made in our workshop to go with the kitchen.
- Site conditions, and whether the room is ready for us when we arrive.
If you have a budget in mind, tell us early. It is far easier to steer the design towards a number at the start than to strip it back later. Please ask us to confirm current lead times, any design fee and payment stages in writing before you order.
Frequently asked questions
Can I see the Mobalco range before I commit?
Yes. Our showroom is at Unit 5A, Shakespeare Industrial Estate, Shakespeare Street, Watford WD24 5RR, in the same building as our joinery workshop. Call 01923 954769 or email design@intervaridesign.com to arrange a time. We can also send you the Mobalco brochure.
How long will it take from design to finished kitchen?
It depends on the size of the kitchen, the finishes you choose and how your wider building work is running. We will give you a realistic timeline for design, manufacture and fitting with your quotation, and tell you straight away if a particular finish carries a longer lead time.
What finishes and door options are available?
Mobalco offers a range of door styles, colours and materials. Rather than guess from a screen, come and look at the samples in Watford so you can see them in daylight and next to your worktop and floor choices.
What guarantee comes with the kitchen?
Manufacturer cover for the cabinets and appliances, and cover on our own installation work, are set out in your paperwork. Please ask us to confirm the exact terms in writing before you order.
How much mess will there be at home?
Fitting a kitchen is disruptive, and we would rather be honest about that than pretend otherwise. Before we start we will tell you what needs to be cleared, roughly how long we expect to be on site and which days are noisiest, so you can plan around it.
The quickest way to find out whether a Mobalco kitchen is right for your home is to see it and talk it through. Call 01923 954769, email design@intervaridesign.com, or visit the showroom and workshop at Unit 5A, Shakespeare Industrial Estate, Shakespeare Street, Watford WD24 5RR.
