Vaselli Stone Kitchens & Bathrooms

Vaselli is one of the kitchen and bathroom ranges we offer at Intervari Design. It is built around stone, so it suits homes where you want the surfaces themselves to be the main feature rather than an added extra.

We work with homeowners across London and Hertfordshire, and with the architects and interior designers who specify on their behalf. You can see and handle samples at our showroom and workshop on Shakespeare Industrial Estate in Watford, alongside our own bespoke Intervari kitchens and the Mobalco range.

What a Vaselli kitchen or bathroom includes

Every project is put together for the room it is going into, so no two are the same. In broad terms, we can look after:

• Design. We plan the layout, the run of the stone and how the room will be used day to day.
• Stone and surface choices. We go through the options available in the range with you and show you samples so you can compare them side by side.
• Worktops, sinks and basins. These are chosen as part of the same design, so the joints, edges and cut-outs are considered from the start.
• Delivery and installation. Stone is heavy and unforgiving, so it is measured, delivered and fitted with care by people who handle it regularly.

If your project also involves fitted bedroom furniture or other joinery, we can make that in our own Watford workshop so everything is coordinated. Ask us which specific finishes, thicknesses and fittings are currently available in the Vaselli range.

How it works, step by step

1. Consultation. Tell us about the room, the building work planned and how you want to use the space. Plans or drawings from your architect are welcome.
2. Survey. We measure the space properly, including services, levels and access, so the design is based on the real room.
3. Design and samples. We develop the layout and you choose your stone and finishes from physical samples, not just photographs.
4. Order. Once you are happy with the drawings and the specification, we confirm the order and agree a programme with you.
5. Fitting. We deliver and install, working around the other trades on site where needed, and tidy up as we go.

Timings depend on the range, the stone chosen and your building programme, so we will give you dates in writing rather than a general estimate.

Why work with Intervari Design

We are an independent company, not a chain showroom. That means we can be honest about which of our ranges suits your home and your budget, and say so if Vaselli is not the right fit.

We regularly work alongside architects and interior designers, so we are used to reading drawings, keeping to a specification and coordinating with other trades on a renovation or extension. Our own joinery workshop is in Watford, and you are welcome to visit and meet the people who will be involved in your project.

How we prepare a quote

We prepare a quote once we understand the room and the specification, so the figure you get relates to your project rather than a sample kitchen. It normally follows the consultation and survey, and sets out what is included so you can compare it fairly with anything else you are considering.

We would rather talk through the likely range of costs early than surprise you later. Please ask us to confirm the current position on design fees, deposits and payment stages, and what is and is not included in a written quotation.

Frequently asked questions

Can I see stone samples before I commit?

Yes. We would always want you to see and handle samples before choosing. You can do that at our showroom and workshop at Unit 5A, Shakespeare Industrial Estate, Shakespeare Street, Watford WD24 5RR. Stone varies naturally, so seeing it in person is the only reliable way to judge colour and pattern.

Will it look like the photographs?

The design will, because we draw your room and agree it with you first. The stone itself will vary a little, as every slab is different. That is part of the material rather than a fault, and we will show you what to expect at sample stage.

How long does it take?

It depends on the stone and finishes you choose and on your wider building work. Once we have surveyed and you have signed off the design, we will confirm lead times for making, delivery and fitting in writing so you can plan around them.

How do I look after stone surfaces?

Care depends on the particular stone you choose, as some are more porous than others. We will tell you what your chosen material needs before you order, and hand over care advice when we finish the installation.

How much mess will there be at home?

Installation does create some disruption, especially when stone is being brought in and fitted. We plan access and protection in advance, work to an agreed programme and clear up as we go. Tell us about parking, lifts and stairs early so we can plan properly.
